Job Summary
Lead a team of accountants by supervising financial reporting, reviewing rent rolls, and reconciling bank statements to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of client financial statements. Coordinate with operational teams to prepare and approve property budgets, while communicating regularly with clients and auditors regarding performance and procedural improvements. Establish departmental goals and policies by collaborating with the Controller and CFO, and manage staffing efficiency through participation in hiring processes and annual performance reviews. This remote role supports a third-party property management firm serving diverse real estate portfolios nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor and/or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA Eligible
- Previous 3rd party multi-family property management experience
- Previous experience leading or managing a team of accountants
- Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Deep understanding of financial concepts
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
- This position does not require travel
