Job Summary
Assistant Control Room Engineer role in a Philippine power-plant environment. Responsible for operating boilers, turbine-generator, and auxiliary equipment from the Control Room following SOPs to ensure safe, reliable power generation; monitor equipment conditions, report deviations, and implement corrective actions; develop and update SOPs for start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures; perform unit start-up/shutdown and emergency response procedures; conduct equipment testing and coordinate preventive/corrective maintenance; prepare shift reports and load reports, create work requests in Maximo, and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards; maintain thorough handover procedures and support ISO/IEC management systems compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
- At least 2 years experience in boiler-turbine operation of a power plant operation
- Preferably Registered Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineer
