Assistant Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and operational objectives while coordinating daily activities for multiple construction crews. Conduct periodic job site safety inspections and audits, and participate in examinations of work progress and equipment to verify specifications are met. Assist Superintendents in making decisions regarding start-up/shut-down issues, instruct crew members, and maintain accurate reports on personnel, production, and project logs. Act as jobsite superintendent in the absence of normal leadership and represent Hoar in progress meetings. Ensure all projects are built to the highest quality according to plans and specs, while communicating clearly with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain smooth operations. Travel up to 100% of the time between sites.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience in construction or college construction graduate
- General knowledge of scheduling, cost control and safety procedures
- General Computer skills (MS Office)
- Valid Driver's License Required
- Must be able to travel up to 100% of the time
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amounts of weight up to 50 lbs without assistance and greater than 50lbs with assistance
