Job Summary
Assist the lead manager in nuclear construction projects, focusing on regulatory compliance, strict quality assurance, safety protocols, and daily site operations. Help supervise subcontractors, maintain project schedules, track budgets, and ensure all work aligns with nuclear codes and licensing requirements. Responsibilities include project oversight to meet milestones on schedule and within budget; ensure work adheres to nuclear regulatory standards (DOE/NRC), quality assurance programs, inspection and test plans, and EHS policies; collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize logistics and staging; oversee subcontractor performance, review bids, manage change orders, and prepare requisitions; monitor daily/weekly expenditures and procurement; liaise between engineering, craft labor, client, and regulators to resolve technical discrepancies and mitigate risks; maintain site records and licensing/compliance documentation; uphold professional conduct and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Related Field, or Equivalent
- Typically, ten plus years of relevant work experience in construction management
- 5+ years of progressive field management experience on large-scale infrastructure, power, or heavy industrial projects
- Strong working knowledge of critical path scheduling, cost tracking, hazard identification, and subcontracts management
- Ability to meet physical demands on active construction sites (walking, standing, walking on uneven terrain, etc.)
