Job Summary
Assistant Construction Manager at Veev (a Lennar subsidiary) supports residential construction projects across a defined geographic area, coordinating and recording activities to ensure homes are built on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards, codes, and safety requirements. The role requires regular onsite presence at scattered homesites, coordination with Construction Managers, punch-list management to ensure quality, adherence to safety policies, schedule maintenance using company tools, and effective communication with customers and trade partners. Proficiency in scheduling, budgeting, document management, and common office software is expected, along with the ability to travel locally and work onsite.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and inspections preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel locally and be onsite at scattered homesites
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and document management
- Some technical repairs and use of tools may be required by this role
- Computer literate with proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft products (Word and Excel)
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
