Job Summary
Assistant Construction Engineer role supporting project coordination, field and office engineering, contract management, and bid/proposal activities; responsibilities include monitoring contractor work, preparing documentation and reports, coordinating planning and meetings, reviewing plans and submittals, managing change orders, conducting field measurements and testing, ensuring QA/QC, and facilitating safe, efficient site operations across water and power infrastructure projects in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a baccalaureate degree or graduate degree from an engineering or construction management program
- Five (2) years verifiable professional-level experience, as applicable to the area of expertise
- Ability to travel via driven automobile
- Ability to adapt to changing working conditions, including prolonged standing and sitting, and frequent work in industrial facilities, construction sites, and other natural environments
- Ability to walk up to 2 miles and lift and carry up to 30 lbs
- Possession of a California Certificate of Registration respective to your area of expertise such as a PE or CCM certificate
- Ability to work in fast-paced, variable schedule environment including early mornings or late nights
