Job Summary
The Assistant Concessions Manager is responsible for managing and directing all day-to-day concessions operations, ensuring quality service and products while maintaining appropriate financial practices. Key responsibilities include maintaining labor and operating supply costs, managing the operational budget, leading and mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation procedures. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree, at least 2-3 years of management experience in a high-volume foodservice environment, preferably within a sports and entertainment venue. Strong communication, leadership skills, and the ability to work flexible hours is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ management experience in high-volume foodservice industry
- Bachelor’s degree
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
- Customer service oriented
- Must have or obtain NYC Food Protection Certificate
Desired Qualifications
- Union experience is preferred
- Knowledge of accounting policy and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
