Assistant Community / Property Manager

Job Summary

Greet residents and prospects, respond to inquiries, and support a welcoming environment. Market apartments, conduct tours, and process applications, leases, and renewals to drive leasing success. Manage LIHTC, HUD, and affordable housing documentation with accuracy and confidentiality. Coordinate with the maintenance team on work orders, turnovers, and inspections. Plan resident events, assist with outreach, and manage social media activity. Process invoices, prepare reports, collect rent, and back up the Community Manager as needed. Uphold Conifer's policies, professionalism, and commitment to resident care. Work Monday through Friday with potential weekend coverage based on occupancy levels and leasing activity.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of experience in apartment or affordable housing management
  • Knowledge of leasing, compliance, marketing, or office administration
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Basic accounting or bookkeeping skills
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Willingness to obtain certifications such as COS or LIHTC

Desired Qualifications

  • LIHTC experience
  • HUD experience
  • RD experience
  • Yardi or similar software experience
  • AAS degree or some college
  • Certifications such as COS or LIHTC
