Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations at an apartment community by performing marketing and leasing functions to maintain occupancy, implementing resident retention programs, and managing move-in paperwork. Collect rents, make daily deposits, reconcile monthly, and process invoices while enforcing rent collection policies. Monitor renewals, distribute renewal notices, and follow up on expirations. Produce monthly reports for the Property Manager and maintain good resident relations by responding to concerns to avoid escalation.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years tax credit experience
- Related multi-family property management experience
- Knowledge of HUD rules and regulations, as well as policies and procedures of low-income housing programs
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while working at a desk
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- Must be able to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
- A flexible schedule is required and hours include weekdays, nights, and weekends (including Saturdays and Sundays) as needed to meet business needs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with OneSite software a plus
- Valid driver's license is preferred; candidates without a license will be provided a liability waiver
