Assistant Community Manager - Tax Credit

Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations at an apartment community by performing marketing and leasing functions to maintain occupancy, implementing resident retention programs, and managing move-in paperwork. Collect rents, process invoices, and monitor renewals while producing monthly reports for the Property Manager. Maintain strong resident relations by responding to concerns and enforcing rent collection policies. This role requires 2+ years of tax credit experience, knowledge of HUD rules, and the ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Based onsite at a multi-family property with exposure to elements and potential work in confined spaces.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years tax credit experience
- Related multi-family property management experience
- Knowledge of HUD rules and regulations, as well as policies and procedures of low-income housing programs
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a desk
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to read documents, computer screens and data
- Ability to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- Ability to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 20 pounds
- Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
- Valid driver's license
