Job Summary
Conduct daily leasing operations by showing units, screening applicants, and collecting deposits while maintaining resident files and processing applications through the Yardi system. Manage financial records by accepting rent payments, preparing receipts, and ensuring accurate invoice coding and approval. Support community management by responding to maintenance requests, enforcing policies, and assisting with lease preparation and legal proceedings. Maintain accurate records of rental levels and prepare advertising materials to support leasing goals.
Required Qualifications
- Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents
- Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to the community team
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English to effectively interact with team members, residents, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances
- Participate in training to comply with new and existing laws
- Valid driver's license with good driving record and auto insurance
- Ability to work most weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to sit, stand, climb, stoop, and remain at a desk for a period of up to 8 hours or more if needed
- Must be able to walk the property for a period of up to 8 hours (or more) in various weather conditions
- Must have the ability to climb stairs for purposes of showing properties to prospective tenants
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Apartment management experience
- 2+ years of college
