Job Summary
Assist in managing the financial and operational facets of a 210-unit mid-rise community (Solis Birkdale, Huntersville, NC) by completing accounting tasks, preparing monthly close-outs and financial reports, processing invoices, collecting rent and fees, posting daily deposits, reconciling bank accounts, and using property management software to record and report financial activity. Responsibilities include reviewing resident files for balances, enforcing collections and the lease, processing move-outs, coordinating with vendors, handling evictions as required, promoting resident satisfaction, supervising on-site operations in the community manager’s absence, supporting leasing/marketing efforts, and maintaining communication with owners. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of property management experience, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with property management systems (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata). For California, move-in file reviews are required before submission. Special emphasis on financial controls, lease enforcement, and resident relations within a 210-unit community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field from an accredited college or university
- 1-3 years minimum of relevant experience in residence life and/or property management demonstrating ability to manage day-to-day operations, resolve customer issues, complete financial records and reports, increase revenues, and coordinate a team
- Understanding of lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated proficiency in Internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs
- Strong proficiency in using property management software (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, etc.)
- Incumbents must have all licenses and/or certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions
- Valid driver’s license to drive a golf cart on property
