Assistant Community Manager

Job Summary
Greet and qualify prospects, process applications with credit checks, and manage lease renewals while enforcing lease terms and collecting rent. Show apartments, close sales, and prepare units for move-ins by obtaining resident signatures and providing orientation. Handle evictions by following notice requirements and facilitating court proceedings as needed. Promote resident satisfaction by responding to complaints and maintaining an active social media presence to enhance property visibility. Conduct market research by surveying competing properties and update property management software with move-in/out data. Complete necessary paperwork for peak periods and maintain an updated availability report for Community Manager approval. This role supports resident retention and revenue optimization within a site-based environment requiring flexible hours including weekends and nights.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience in customer service or apartment leasing
- A background in accounting combined with customer service is also preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Project Management
- Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
- A flexible schedule is required and hours include weekdays, nights, and weekends (including Saturdays and Sundays) as needed to meet business needs
- Employment with RPM Living is contingent upon successful completion of a background check as local and federal state requires
- A valid driver's license is preferred; candidates without a license will be provided a liability waiver
