Job Summary
Conduct daily property operations by assisting the Community Manager with leasing, marketing campaigns, and resident relations. Compute, classify, and record numerical data to maintain complete financial records while processing rent collections, deposits, and security deposit returns. Monitor landlord-tenant relations, mediate disputes, and track service requests using maintenance software. Inspect apartments for move-in conditions, oversee vendor compliance, and ensure grounds and amenities remain clean. Maintain knowledge of market conditions and assist in preparing the annual operating budget. Work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends, travel for property business, and step in as acting Community Manager when needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of one year property management experience preferred
- Experience in affordable housing, Tax Credit, HUD and/or Rural Development preferred
- Must be able to access all areas of the propertys grounds and structures, including multilevel structures, with or without the aid of an elevator
- Work with a computer for a minimum of 7 hours daily either standing or sitting
- Effectively communicate with applicants, residents, vendors and supervisors in e-mail, by phone, or in person regarding day-to-day operations of the property
- Work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Travel for the purpose of conducting property business
- Must have a government issued state ID, or valid driver's license if required by Management based on location/property or business needs
- Work under multiple time constraints
- Computer literacy
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to step in as acting Community Manager if the need arises
