Job Summary
Assist the Community Manager in overseeing and managing the financial and operational aspects of the apartment community. Perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks, prepare monthly close-out and financial reports, process invoices, collect rent and other payments, prepare daily deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and use property management software (Yardi/OneSite/Entrata) to record and report financial activity. Review resident files for delinquencies, enforce the lease to maximize revenue, review and submit vendor invoices, coordinate with maintenance and operations, and represent the community in evictions when required. Support on-site supervision in the absence of the community manager, assist in leasing and marketing efforts, conduct resident tours, prepare reports, and ensure resident satisfaction and retention through responsive service. Must have a Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of relevant property-management experience; proficient in property management software and possess a valid driver’s license for on-property tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field from an accredited college or university
- 1-3 years minimum of relevant experience in residence life and/or property management demonstrating application of community management, sales, marketing, and customer service
- Understanding of lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
