Assistant Community Manager - LAW/RIW

Job Summary
Direct the supervision of leasing, maintenance, janitorial, and housekeeping staff while managing tenant files, security dispositions, and resident requests. Record all rent receipts in the Yardi software system, collect delinquent rents, and process vendor invoices. Prepare leases, addendums, and legal paperwork for new move-ins; maintain awareness of area competition and market surveys. Process applicant and resident files in compliance with HUD and LIHTC regulations, perform annual renewal inspections, and generate legal notices. Provide resident problem resolution, coordinate utility transfers, and assist with evictions per court orders. Complete weekly activity reports, rental applications, and required financial reports. Work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays; travel to off-site locations with a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree
- CPM
- Experience in managing LIHTC and HUD multi-family properties
- Property Management Certification (ARM, CAM, etc.)
- 1-2 year's affordable housing leasing experience
- Experience budgeting and community cost control
- Working knowledge of applicable Landlord Tenant Laws
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing Regulations
- Working knowledge of LIHTC/HUD Programs
- Working knowledge of other laws as they relate to property specific guidelines and occupancy standards
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel to and from a bank and other off-site locations
- Must be able to complete all required training within thirty (30) days of hire date
- Must be willing and able to utilize tablet/mobile devices and software efficiently
- High degree of flexibility and tolerance for change
- Understanding of financial statements (budget, financial reports, P&L statement, general ledger, etc.)
- Superior customer service skills including the ability to manage difficult customers and/or situations
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong adherence to ethical standards including, but not limited to, the ability to maintain confidentiality and fiduciary responsibility
- Detail oriented; ability to manage conflicting priorities and to adjust priorities daily
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Working knowledge of Office 365
- Excellent computer skills

- Requires sitting, standing, and walking for prolonged periods
- Frequent/daily reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 pounds
- Communication mastery in the form of electronic mail, writing letters, memos, documents, and any other correspondence in written form including reports
- Proficient in face-to-face, telephone, and other median of conversation styles for prolonged periods, up to 6 hours per workday
