Job Summary
Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in the financial and operational management of an apartment community. Responsibilities include collecting rent and other payments, posting daily transactions, preparing bank deposits and reconciliations, generating financial reports, processing invoices and payables, operating property management software (Yardi/OneSite/Entrata), reviewing resident files and enforcing lease terms, handling delinencies and evictions as needed, reviewing vendor invoices for payment, coordinating with maintenance and leasing teams, assisting with leasing activities, and participating in resident outreach and events. The role requires on-site supervision in the Community Manager’s absence, communication with owners, and occasional evening/weekend work. California-specific move-in file review is noted for CA only. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field
- 1-3 years minimum of relevant experience in residence life and/or property management
- Understanding of lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Specialized skills: valid driver’s license to drive golf cart on property
- Strong proficiency in property management software (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata)
