Assistant Community Manager - CEF *LIHTC EXP Required*

Job Summary

Assist the Community Manager in implementing company policies, managing leasing, maintenance, and housekeeping staff, and processing all rent collections and delinquent accounts. Prepare leases, manage tenant files, and oversee security dispositions while maintaining accurate financial records in Yardi software. Handle resident requests, process applications in compliance with HUD and LIHTC regulations, and conduct annual renewal inspections. Monitor market competition, generate weekly activity reports, and coordinate resident events. Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, travel to off-site locations, and respond to resident concerns with professional communication skills.

Required Qualifications

  • LIHTC EXP Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CPM
  • Experience in managing LIHTC and HUD multi-family properties
  • 1-2 year's affordable housing leasing experience
  • Experience budgeting and community cost control
  • Working knowledge of applicable Landlord Tenant Laws
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing Regulations
  • Working knowledge of LIHTC/HUD Programs
  • Working knowledge of other laws as they relate to property specific guidelines and occupancy standards
  • Must be able to travel to and from a bank and other off-site locations
  • Must have a valid driver's license if driving a golf cart
  • Must be willing and able to utilize tablet/mobile devices and software efficiently
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Must have industry software experience
  • RealPage's OneSite competency
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Ability to deal with unpleasant, angry, or discourteous people in a professional manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and fiduciary responsibility
  • Must complete all required training within thirty (30) days of hire date

Desired Qualifications

  • Property Management Certification (ARM, CAM, etc.)
  • High degree of flexibility and tolerance for change
  • Understanding of financial statements (budget, financial reports, P&L statement, general ledger, etc.)
  • Superior customer service skills including the ability to manage difficult customers and/or situations
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong adherence to ethical standards
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and to adjust priorities daily
  • Working knowledge of Office 365
  • Bachelor's degree or CPM highly preferred
