Job Summary
Supports and assists the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational facets of the community by completing accounting and bookkeeping tasks, preparing monthly close-out and financial reports, processing invoices for payment, collecting rent, fees, and other payments, completing bank deposits, dispositions, and account reconciliations, and using the property management software to record, track, and report on all financial workings of the community. Responsibilities include completing daily financial transactions, reviewing resident files and accounting records for outstanding balances, enforcing the lease to maximize revenue, processing vendor invoices, coordinating with the property team and owners, handling evictions per notice requirements, managing move-outs, promoting resident satisfaction, and supporting leasing and marketing efforts. For California property operations, duties may include reviewing move-in files prior to submission for review and approval.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field
- 1-3 years minimum of relevant experience in residence life and/or property management
- Understanding of lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license to drive on property (for certain tasks)
