Job Summary
Manage administrative operations for the property by computing, classifying, and recording financial data while assisting with leasing, marketing, and resident relations. Create a welcoming environment for residents and visitors, then support the Community Manager in screening prospective applicants, executing marketing campaigns, and developing resident services programming. Maintain rent collection procedures, deliver deposits, and oversee security deposit administration including unit inspections. Monitor landlord-tenant relations to mediate disputes, track service requests via maintenance software, and inspect grounds and amenities for cleanliness. Ensure vendor compliance prior to work and assist in preparing the annual operating budget. Work flexible evenings and weekends, travel for property business, and act as acting Community Manager when needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of one year property management experience
- Ability to perform all functions of a Leasing Consultant
- Work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Travel for the purpose of conducting property business
- Must have a government issued state ID, or valid driver's license if required by Management based on location/property or business needs
- Work under multiple time constraints
- Computer literacy
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to step in as acting Community Manager if the need arises
- Must be able to access all areas of the propertys grounds and structures, including multilevel structures, with or without the aid of an elevator
- Work with a computer for a minimum of 7 hours daily either standing or sitting
- Effectively communicate with applicants, residents, vendors and supervisors in e-mail, by phone, or in person regarding day-to-day operations of the property
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in One Site preferred
- Experience in affordable housing, Tax Credit, HUD and/or Rural Development preferred
