Job Summary
Manage all operational duties for the community, including rent processing, leasing support, and overseeing staff in the Community Manager's absence. Respond to resident complaints and requests, organize retention events, and handle walk-ins while maintaining secure resident files. Collect and deposit rents and security deposits, review ledgers for delinquencies, and enforce lease agreements. Conduct property inspections for policy violations and repairs, assist with monthly reporting, and support leasing consultants to ensure Fair Housing compliance. Follow all company policies, evictions procedures, and legal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience as an Assistant Community Manager
- LIHTC/Tax Credit Program Knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Unmatched dedication to customer service
- Solid track record of bookkeeping and rent collection
- Thorough understanding of landlord/tenant law
- Strong Understanding of Fair Housing Laws
- Superior interpersonal skills: ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful; mature, flexible
- Resourceful and organized
- Solid computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail
- Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software
