Assistant Community Home Manager

$55,000–$60,000 year

Job Summary

Maintain established division policies, quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards while guarding client confidentiality. Assist group home managers in running homes, planning weekly staff schedules, developing Individualized Health Plans, and managing consumer funds. Run weekly consumer meetings, plan recreational activities and shopping trips, and ensure daily chores are performed by residents and staff. Support supervision across all phases when necessary and cooperate fully with Department of Human Services and Licensing representatives during inspections. Work on-call as required and assist consumers with every aspect of daily living, including walking, wheelchair handling, and bathing. Maintain a clean driving record and complete required pre-service training within 90 days of hire.

Required Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • one year- residential or health care
  • one year working with developmentally disabled
  • valid driver's license
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position
  • Clean driving record
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Skilled at Crisis Intervention/Prevention
  • Knowledge of Archway Quality Assurance Policy and Procedure
  • Knowledge of DDD Policy and Procedures
  • Knowledge of behavior modification techniques
  • Knowledge of Licensing Standards
  • Knowledge of Human Resource/Employee Relation Issues
  • CPR, FA, and DDD pre-service within 90 days of hire
  • certification of pre-employment physical and mantoux test
  • Jointly responsible for supervising 8-15 employees
