Assistant Community Director

Job Summary

Conduct leasing, marketing, and resident services to achieve occupancy and retention goals, including move-in orientations, lease renewals, and handling resident inquiries. Generate and review reports on rent delinquencies, compliance, maintenance status, and operational issues to resolve outstanding matters. Process on-site rent payments, address policy violations and damages, and inspect vacant units for deposit refunds or charges. Work with the PHA team to increase voucher holder participation, create purchase orders, and complete month-end accounting and procure-to-pay checklists. Represent the organization to residents, staff, and the community while responding to urgent issues, including evenings, weekends, and non-scheduled support.

Required Qualifications

  • General knowledge of Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) requirements and Section 8 rent subsidies
  • Thorough knowledge of property management, Yardi Voyager software and basic accounting principles
  • Education which is equivalent to two years of college or industry certification courses
  • Strong customer service and verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of two years' experience in property management, with property leasing and resident services required
  • Ability to speak, read and write English for safety and productivity reasons

Desired Qualifications

  • Concord Management experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated problem resolution work experience
  • Exceptional customer service work history
