Job Summary
Assistant Community Director collaborates with the Community Director to manage all aspects of the community including financial operations, resident relations, leasing, and team oversight. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate resident records, handling leasing processes and renewals, conducting move-in/move-out processes, supervising the leasing team, collecting delinquent rents and issuing notices, processing bank deposits, inspecting properties, coordinating maintenance and service requests, managing advertising and marketing efforts, planning resident events and communications, budgeting within established guidelines, and ensuring compliance with policies and laws. The role requires strong communication, customer service, sales, and analytical abilities, plus proficiency with property management tools and software.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 40-hour flexible work week
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
- Experience with property management software such as YARDI, RentCafe and YieldStar (preferred)
- Knowledge of eviction law and Fair Housing mandates (preferred)
- 6 months to 1 year experience in property management, apartment leasing, community director positions, or related field (preferred)
