Assistant Coach - Wrestling (Winter Season)

Job Summary
Instruct student-athletes in sport-specific skills, strategies, and physical conditioning while planning and organizing structured practices throughout the winter season. Develop game strategies, supervise athletes during contests, and coordinate scheduling of games, transportation, and facilities with the Athletic Director. Monitor academic progress, ensure eligibility compliance, and maintain accurate records including attendance, physicals, and insurance documentation. Enforce health and safety protocols, including concussion awareness, and inspect equipment and facilities. Serve as a positive role model, promote character development, and collaborate with other coaches across multi-level programs. Work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during the season, including travel to off-site events.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members
- Maintain certifications as required by district or state (e.g., CPR/AED, first aid, concussion training)
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Close vision

- Ability to work during evenings, weekends, and extended hours during the athletic season
