Job Summary
Assistant Coach for Harvard women's tennis program responsible for assisting in planning, directing, and coaching the inter-collegiate tennis program; develops practices and game plans, analyzes video for scouting, executes recruiting and retention strategies, and supports team culture and academic integration. Leads in absence of Head Coach, coordinates logistics and operations, ensures compliance with university/athletic governing bodies, and participates in fundraising and special events. Requires at least 1 year of collegiate-level coaching or playing experience, a bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work evenings and weekends with frequent travel. On-site position in Allston, MA for 11 months with pro-rated compensation of $58,000-$91,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Requires at least 1 year of tennis coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate, national, professional or Olympic level.
- Valid driver's license preferred
- CPR and First Aid required
- Evening and weekend work required
- Frequent travel required
- Knowledge of NCAA, Ivy League rules and regulations
- Experience in recruiting and team management
- Budgeting and administrative responsibilities
- On-site work format
- Ability to supervise staff and coordinate with athletics administrators
