Job Summary
Assistant Women’s Softball Coach responsible for leading pitching staff development, recruitment coordination, travel logistics, game preparation, NCAA compliance, and monitoring student-athlete academic progress; requires a Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years coaching experience; proficient in Teamworks, ARMS, PitchCom, and Synergy; travel and evening/weekend hours expected; full-time at DePaul University in Chicago with NCAA compliance focus and recruiting duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, required
- 3 - 5 years coaching experience, preferably at the NCAA Division I level
- Collegiate playing experience, preferred
- Annual NCAA Recruiting certification
- Valid driver’s license, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Technically proficient in Teamworks, ARMS, PitchCom and Synergy
- Demonstrated experience in working in a diverse urban and/or intercollegiate athletics environment
- Dedication to serving the department, the University and the student-athletes with the highest level of leadership, initiative and integrity
- Position requires working evening, weekend and holiday hours during school year
- Travel may be required for extended periods of time for competition and recruiting
- Knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA rules, policies and procedures pertaining to women's softball
- Attend and participate in monthly NCAA rules compliance meetings
- Assist Head Coach in supervision of volunteer and student assistant coaches and student managers
- Bachelor’s Degree, required
