Job Summary
Assistant Coach for Varsity Girls Golf at Heritage Christian Academy in Olathe, KS. Seasonal, part-time role supporting the head coach with planning and running practices (skills instruction in full swing, short game, putting, course management) and conditioning; provide individual coaching, oversee team supervision and logistics at practices, matches, and tournaments; foster a team culture grounded in Christian character, sportsmanship, and integrity; communicate with players, parents, and staff; assist with equipment, scheduling, transportation, and other game-day duties; uphold all school, league, and state rules. Requires knowledge of golf and ability to teach fundamentals; playing or coaching experience preferred; personal faith in Jesus Christ and agreement with mission; background check and coaching certifications; effective communication and collaboration skills; youth-coaching experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the game of golf and the ability to teach fundamentals; playing or coaching experience preferred
- A personal faith in Jesus Christ and agreement with HCA's mission and statement of faith
- Strong character, reliability, and the ability to model Christ-like leadership for student-athletes
- Effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively with the head coach and athletic staff
- Must pass a background check and complete any required coaching certifications (e.g., concentration/concussion training, league requirements)
- Prior experience coaching or mentoring youth preferred
