Job Summary
Assist with coaching Upper School girls JV volleyball, lead skill instruction and team development, supervise practices, competitions, and team trips, coordinate with Middle School Athletics Director and Director of Athletics on administrative tasks (uniforms, equipment, transportation, scheduling, referees), organize end-of-season meetings and awards, transport student athletes to events, and maintain an environment that supports learning, sportsmanship, and the school’s athletics goals. Requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, plus CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain, LiveScan background check, and state-specific driving credentials. Seasonal, part-time, non-exempt varsity/junior-varsity coaching role in California with a focus on developing players and supporting the athletic department’s mission.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years previous Volleyball Coach Experience
- Previous Volleyball playing experience at a high level (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to model ethics and appropriate behavior
- Clean driving record and valid California driver’s license
- LiveScan fingerprinting background check
- COVID-19 testing compliance as required by authorities
- Ability to transport student athletes by school vans
- Ability to exert heavy physical effort and work outdoors
