Job Summary
Assistant Coach Track & Field responsible for developing and leading a competitive athletic program under the Athletic Director. Provides instruction, leadership, and supervision while fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe environment. Plan, organize, and conduct practices, training sessions, and competitions; teach sport-specific skills, conditioning, and fundamentals; develop practice plans and game strategies; promote teamwork, discipline, leadership, and good sportsmanship; ensure adherence to team rules, policies, league regulations, and safety procedures; promote academic success and personal development of student-athletes; coordinate equipment, facilities, and program needs; maintain records and communicate with student-athletes, parents, staff, and administration; support recruitment and participation efforts; attend games, tournaments, meetings, trainings, and events. Qualifications include coaching experience preferred, knowledge of sport-specific rules, ability to work with high school students, strong leadership and communication skills, and CPR/First Aid certification preferred; background check and fingerprint clearance as required. Note: Non-exempt hourly employees are not eligible to apply.
