Job Summary
Collaborate with the Head Coach to develop and implement all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III athletics program, including practice planning, game strategy, scouting, and video analysis. Coach and teach sport-specific skills during practices and competitions while conducting pre-season, in-season, and post-season player evaluations. Assist with recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes and monitor their academic progress to foster success both on and off the field. Coordinate administrative responsibilities such as team travel, equipment inventory, and purchasing while maintaining NCAA and institutional compliance. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture and serve as a mandatory reporter in accordance with College policy. This full-time, 10-month position requires days, evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for competitions and recruiting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Understanding of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/AED and First Aid certifications
- Ability to successfully complete the NCAA Division III Rules Test
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, student-athletes, faculty, and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive student-athlete experience
- Full-time, 10-month position
- Work schedule includes days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as required by practices, competitions, recruiting activities, team travel, and other departmental responsibilities
- Demonstrate professionalism and serve as a mandatory reporter in accordance with College policy
Desired Qualifications
- Previous collegiate coaching experience
- Experience recruiting student-athletes in an NCAA environment
- Knowledge of video analysis, scouting, and statistical analysis
- Experience supporting student-athlete academic success
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive team culture
