Job Summary
Assistant Coach II, Women’s Softball assists with team and player development and training, practice planning, evaluation of athlete performances, and recommendations to the head coach regarding participation in competitions. Responsibilities include video analysis, game preparation, throwing batting practice, on-field player instruction, leadership development, team travel, and involvement in camps and clinics. They will identify, evaluate, and encourage qualified student-athletes to complete the application process to Cornell following Ivy League, NCAA, and University policies. Coaches are expected to support academic success and foster belonging, collaboration, and inclusive environments. This role includes two vacancies, with one position focused on pitching. Final salary offer will depend on relevant experience and qualifications. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of relevant coaching/recruiting experience or equivalent education/experience
- Proven success and potential in coaching, recruiting, and mentoring student-athletes
- Knowledgeable of NCAA rules
- Strong work ethic and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellbeing
- Ability to cultivate inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members
- Valid driver’s license
