Job Summary
Assist the head coach in instructing athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. Provide instruction that will lead to moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and self-confidence. Maintain professional conduct, supervise sport-specific activities, ensure practices and games stay within CHSAA and Athletic Director guidelines, promote effective communication with schools and the community, assist in summer camp activities, manage equipment and paperwork, and uphold safety, sportsmanship, and appropriate PR with media, booster clubs, parents, officials, and opponents.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Has previous experience as an effective coach in the assigned sport
- Criminal background check required for hire
- CPR and Concussion Protocol training
- Coaches must be CHSAA registered or hold CHSAA-related coaching credentials as described
