Assistant Coach of Men's Basketball

Job Summary
Organize, supervise, and control all activities related to the Men's Basketball program while assisting the head coach with recruiting, practice sessions, and contest direction. Annually review NCAA and MAC rule changes and adhere to all regulations. Coordinate team travel, housing, and meals with the Athletic Sports Program Assistant, preparing itineraries at least two weeks prior to overnight events. Advise and mentor team members, including captains and the Student Advisory Committee, while implementing game scouts and film breakdowns. Communicate with training staff regarding medical clearances, injury prevention, and rehabilitation, and cooperate with equipment room staff to support academic goals. Cultivate alumni groups in conjunction with the Alumni Programs office and schedule facility use with the Assistant Athletic Director.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
Desired Qualifications
- Prior playing or coaching at the college level
- CPR/ First Aid certification
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- Strong managerial, administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency
