Job Summary
Assistant Coach for Middle School Girls Swimming responsible for developing a swim program aligned with the school's Athletics mission. Leads instruction in fundamental swimming skills and team strategies; supervises practices, competitions, and team trips; coordinates with the Middle School Athletics Director and Director of Athletics on administrative tasks (uniforms, equipment, transportation, game scheduling, referees); ensures safety, ethics, and character development, and supports academic and cocurricular goals. Attends coaches’ meetings and seasonal meetings, organizes end-of-season player meetings and awards, and transports student-athletes by school vans. Requires strong communication and organizational skills, ability to model professional behavior, willingness to engage in ongoing professional development, and eligibility for LiveScan background check; CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain; valid California driver’s license and clean driving record; willingness to comply with county/state/federal COVID-19 testing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years Swimming Coach experience
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- California driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Submit to LiveScan fingerprinting background check
- COVID-19 testing as required by regulations
