Assistant Coach - Men's Basketball

Job Summary
Assist in planning, directing and coaching the Harvard men’s basketball program under the Head Coach. Help develop student-athlete skills, plan and execute practices, support in-game management, and coordinate portions of team programming. Involve in on-campus recruiting and retention efforts, analyze video for scouting and team development, and promote academic integration with the team. Mentor and motivate student-athletes, serving as a positive role model for athletes, assistant coaches, and others. Requires effective communication, leadership, and the ability to travel; work includes some evenings and weekends with on-site duties at Harvard Allston, MA. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and coaching/playing experience at collegiate, professional, or Olympic level strongly preferred. 35 hours per week; compensation $90,000–$100,000 annually; visa sponsorship not available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of basketball coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate, professional or Olympic level
- Requires substantial sport-specific knowledge and knowledge of relevant issues
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- CPR and First Aid required
