Job Summary
Assistant Coach role focused on planning and executing age-appropriate practices, developing game plans, and fostering sportsmanship and a positive, inclusive team culture. Responsibilities include leading training sessions, analyzing opponents, providing constructive feedback to players, collaborating with the head coach and other staff, communicating with athletes, parents, and administration, and ensuring compliance with school, district, and league policies. Requires experience coaching at middle/high school level, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to student-athlete development. The position is a 1099 contractor based in Harrisburg, PA, with a strong emphasis on Christian education and CSAGH standards.
Required Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle or high school level
- Strong knowledge of strategies, techniques, and rules
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their full potential
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment
- Valid coaching certifications and compliance with all relevant coaching requirements are preferable
