Job Summary
Assistant Coach JV Boys Basketball develops and leads an educational athletic program, providing instruction, leadership, and supervision to student-athletes. Responsibilities include planning and conducting practices and competitions; teaching sport-specific skills, strategies, and conditioning; developing practice plans and game strategies; fostering teamwork, leadership, discipline, accountability, and sportsmanship; ensuring safety and adherence to policies; coordinating equipment and program needs; communicating with students, parents, staff, and administration; maintaining records and supporting recruitment and participation efforts; and representing the program professionally at games and events.
Required Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of sport-specific rules, techniques, strategies, and player development
- Ability to work effectively with high school-aged students in a structured and supportive environment
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Background check and fingerprint clearance as required
