Job Summary
The Academy is hiring an Assistant Coach for High School Track and Field to help supervise and coach student-athletes, enforce CHSAA regulations and school policies, monitor student behavior, and contribute to a safe, structured practice and competition environment. Responsibilities include high-visibility patrolling of field areas, enforcing safety rules, mediating disciplinary incidents, communicating outcomes to the Athletic Director and parents, and providing written accounts of incidents. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, coaching knowledge, a criminal background check, current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications, and CHSAA coach certifications. The role emphasizes data-driven approaches, collaboration with staff, and maintaining a supportive, inclusive environment for students; the stipend is paid March–May 2027.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience with coaching
- Criminal background check required for hire
- Current CPR, First Aid and AED certifications
- 1 year registered CHSAA or PERM Coach certification
- Current CHSAA certifications required
- Experience in the sport is required and experience as a coach is preferred
