Assistant Coach Girls Golf

Job Summary
Assist in coaching girls golf at May River High within Beaufort County School District. Responsibilities include instructing athletes in individual and team fundamentals, sportsmanship, cooperation, strategy and playing tactics, and conditioning; assisting in scheduling intramural and interscholastic contests and regular practices; maintaining attendance and safety records; enforcing code of conduct and eligibility standards; and recommending equipment purchases. Reports to the Athletic Director and supports district program goals while promoting professionalism, diversity, and accountability among student-athletes. Requires knowledge of SC High School League rules, a teaching certificate (preferred), and the ability to pass a criminal background check; valid driver's license; and effective communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport
- Knowledge and/or background in the assigned sport
- Teaching certificate and experience preferred
- Must be able to pass criminal background check
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise good judgment, organize tasks, follow written and verbal directions, and communicate effectively
