Job Summary
Assistant Cheer Coach role responsible for instructing students in fundamental cheer skills, developing sport-specific drills and practice activities to enhance team performance, motivating students academically and athletically, and maintaining a positive image for the school. The position involves leading pep rallies, supervising on trips/camps/competitions, and collaborating with the Head Coach to create game plans and teaching training rules to athletes. Seasonal stipend paid at end of each season. Location: Wendover High School.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Familiar with the rules and regulations of the sport/activity
- Experience as an athlete and/or coach
- Work closely with program Head Coach
- Ability to motivate, teach, and lead
- be energetic, responsible, dependable, self motivated and punctual
- Have excellent public relation skills and work effectively with staff, parents and administration
- Experience working with teens and willingness to supervise on trips, camps and competitions
