Job Summary
Provide a positive learning environment and be a positive role model for student-athletes; teach tennis skills for performance under the guidance of the head coach; organize and schedule regular practice sessions to develop athletes' potential; manage athlete behavior during trainings, meets, and events; uphold school rules and policies; attend meets and events; promote the sport within the district/community; ensure safety and compliance with OSAA and district requirements; complete required certifications and trainings (First Aid/CPR, concussion/health, fingerprint clearance, SafeSchools) as part of new hire process; position requires experience with high school students and the sport, and willingness to obtain required coaching certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Coaching experience in the sport
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance by the State Department of Education
- ASEP/NFHS Coaching
- OSAA Concussion
- OSAA Steroid & OSAA Heat Prevention
- Background check (fingerprints)
- SafeSchools trainings
- I-9 and W-4 paperwork
- NFHS/ASEP coaching certification
