Job Summary
Assistant Coach for Boys Soccer responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting practices and competitions; teaching sport-specific skills, strategies, conditioning, and fundamentals; developing practice plans and game strategies; fostering teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship; ensuring safety and compliance with school and league policies; coordinating equipment and program needs; communicating with students, parents, staff, and administration; supporting recruitment and participation efforts; and representing the program professionally. Position is hourly, non-exempt, for the 2026–2027 school year with a compensation of $20/hour (approximately $41,600/year when annualized) for up to 120 hours, and requires CPR/First Aid preferred and background/fingerprint clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience in the assigned sport or related athletic experience preferred
- Knowledge of sport-specific rules, techniques, strategies, and player development
- Ability to work effectively with high school-aged students in a structured and supportive environment
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire student-athletes while maintaining high expectations
- Background check and fingerprint clearance as required
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
