Job Summary
Assistant Coach for boys and girls bowling at Mason City High School (2026-2027 season). Responsible for program duties per the coaching description: maintain practice periods within allowed times, enforce safety and health rules, ensure paperwork and permissions (including physical forms and concussion forms) are completed, manage equipment inventory and maintenance, assist with purchasing decisions, file transportation requests, ensure athletes are transported by school-approved means, and manage return travel policies. Collaborates with head coach, activity director, and building principal; upholds district and athletic association policies; conducts duties to enhance student learning, discipline, sportsmanship, and program effectiveness; conducts roster management and stays current with coaching developments and innovative techniques. Ensures supervision of athletes in locker rooms, practice, contests, and transportation; enforces eligibility and participation rules; supports injury reporting and proper use and care of equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Iowa coaching endorsement or authorization
- Concussion certificate
- Mandatory Reporter Training certificate
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education find appropriate and acceptable
