Job Summary
Assistant Club Volleyball Coach at High Point University supporting the Head Coach in developing and managing the university's competitive club volleyball program. This part-time role involves recruiting and mentoring staff, designing training and selection protocols, coordinating scheduling and registration, and ensuring safety and compliance with university policies, while fostering athlete development and community engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Valid First Aid certificate (minimum Basic First Aid with CPR C/AED)
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience planning and implementing training plans and competition/selection protocols
- Experience coaching and developing athletes across a range of skill levels
- Demonstrated ability to coach sound techniques
- Familiar with safety rules and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and social media
- Ability to recruit, hire, orient, supervise, and mentor assistants
- Ability to work independently with students in a dynamic and flexible environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
- Experience coaching athletes with varying skill levels and goals (including high performance)
- Experience planning and implementing training plans and competition/selection protocols
- Experience managing and coordinating an athletic program
- Demonstrated ability to coach sound techniques
- Familiar with safety rules and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and social media
