Assistant Club Coach, Men's Lacrosse

Job Summary
Assist Head Coach in leading and coordinating the HPU Club Lacrosse program and support the development of student-athletes and community members. Design and implement a Lacrosse program with goals, structure, and direction; recruit, hire, orient, supervise, and mentor the assistant coach to build an effective coaching staff; collaborate with the Athletic Director to develop and execute a 3-year program plan; coach all Club Lacrosse program members for Fall and Spring semesters; establish transparent training plans and athlete monitoring protocols and refine them with the assistant coach; recruit athletes; manage up-to-date registration, contact, and medical information; arrange lacrosse matches and scheduling with the Assistant AD; disseminate information on registration timelines and website/social media; ensure compliance with High Point University Vision, Mission, Values, and safety/equipment policies; coordinate equipment needs with the Assistant Athletic Director and ensure equipment is in working order; possess competencies in leading people, achieving results, personal effectiveness, and interpersonal communication. The role requires not sponsoring H-1B visas and adheres to university equal opportunity policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience coaching athletes with varying skill levels
- Certified as necessary
- Valid First Aid certificate (minimum Basic First Aid with CPR C/AED)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience planning training and competition/selection protocols
- Experience managing an athletic program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and social media
