Assistant -Clinical Respiratory Therapy (Paramedic)

Job Summary
Administer and coordinate respiratory treatments for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients across emergency and critical care situations. Assess patients, verify new start and ABG orders before treatment, and manage ventilators by parameters while communicating critical updates to nurses and physicians. Provide patient education, perform floor therapy modalities, and conduct bedside shift reports. Document all treatments, medications, and care plan changes in the EMR and complete ABG logs. Follow oxygen and aerosol protocols, support unit practice councils, and prioritize tasks to minimize time away from the unit.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist (Respiratory Care Professional) in the state of Georgia
- Associates Degree
- Respiratory Therapy training through an accredited school
- Successful completion of registry examination
- One (1) year prior experience in relevant position
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills

- Must be able to lift 20 lbs
