Job Summary
Schedule patient appointments, register new and returning patients, and capture demographic data for annual reporting. Manage patient information in the Electronic Health Records system, verify insurance details, collect copays, and handle cash account activities. Perform triage within the EMR, mail patient packets, and answer phone calls while adhering to strict HIPAA and Red Flag Rules. Provide self-pay options, obtain Medicare ABNs, and ensure compliance with commercial and Medicaid authorization requirements. Participate in after-hours coverage, cross-location support, and emergency safety protocols. Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Meet The Wright Center for Community Health and its affiliated Enterprise entities' EOS People Analyzer Tool
- Minimum Qualifications of a High School Diploma/GED
- Previous front-office experience (1-2 years) in a high-volume medical practice desirable
- Bilingual highly desired
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to maintain accuracy and compliance with detailed-oriented responsibilities
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Proficient computer skills
- Proven proficiency of technology and EMR workflows at the end of orientation
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must have attention to detail
- Must be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with many changing priorities
- Must be professional and customer service oriented to deliver quality excellent care
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Buy in and experience working in the EOS model (strongly preferred)
