Job Summary
Assist the clinic manager in overseeing clinic operations, directing patient flow, and maintaining program quality control. Supervise staff by managing schedules, conducting interviews, and providing orientation and training for new hires. Oversee daily productivity reports, cycle times, and EDR coding while ensuring adherence to policies, HIPAA standards, and safety walk-throughs. Collect and secure all money, manage building security, and cover staff positions as needed. Serve as a patient advocate and assist in resolving complaints.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Minimum five years' experience in a medical setting
- Registered Dental Assistant Certificate
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum one year supervisory or lead experience
- Valid California driver's license, current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of community health centers and public assistance programs, state and federal regulations and manage care systems
- Knowledge of dental - related special government programs
- Typing/data entry proficiency minimum 35 wpm
- Experience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products, business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilities
- Ability to understand training concepts and train others
- Excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction
Desired Qualifications
- Experience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Dental Records systems, NextGen preferred
