Assistant Civil Designer

Job Summary
Designs and drafts civil infrastructure plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D (also able to use MicroStation) to produce 2D drawings and 3D models; creates existing surfaces and sub-surfaces from survey data, develops site grading and drainage systems, and performs earthwork/quantity calculations; develops underground services/utility plans; reviews sketches and specifications to ensure conformance with design concepts; implements alignments, profiles, and cross-sections for sites/roads; prepares engineering drawings; supports mining/industrial plant experience considered a plus; requires experience in hydrology and proficient use of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microstation, and InRoads/OpenRoads; available for flexible/hybrid work and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- College certification or BS in Civil Engineering (preferred but not required)
- 3-5 years of design and drafting experience in Civil Engineering
- Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads
- Ability to read and interpret maps and land surveys
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
